When you 'Activate Online', RowPro communicates directly with the activation server at www.digitalrowing.com via your Internet connection. This is the recommended way to activate RowPro as it eliminates several possible sources of activation problems.
Of course your RowPro PC must be connected to the Internet while you activate RowPro.
If your RowPro PC can't connect to the Internet, the next best way to activate RowPro is to use a web browser on another PC. It's easiest if the other PC is nearby, but you can use any PC or Mac anywhere that's connected to the Internet.
To use this method, click the blue 'Other ways to activate' link in the RowPro Activation Manager.
If you make a mistake during the activation process you will see an error message. The sections below will help you understand what's wrong so you can fix it yourself or get assistance from Digital Rowing.

If you are unable to activate RowPro using a purchased license and/or you get an error message, possible causes are:
License
You must purchase a RowPro license from www.digitalrowing.com/store before you can activate RowPro. If you don't have a valid RowPro license when you try to activate RowPro, you will get an error message. Possible causes are:
• | No license - Your account may not have a license in it. If you believe there should be a license in your account, log in to your account at www.digitalrowing.com using the Login and Password you created when you purchased RowPro or registered your license. |
• | Annual license expired - Your account may have an annual license in it but the license has expired. Check when you purchased RowPro and confirm when your license is due to expire. |
• | License not registered - If you received a license number from a Concept2 / Digital Rowing Distributor, you must register it at www.digitalrowing.com/register before you can use it to activate RowPro. |
• | Incorrect license version - Your license may be for an older major version of RowPro. The major version is the number before the decimal point, so for version 2.2 the major version is 2 and this can't be activated with a version 1 license. To check, log in to your account at www.digitalrowing.com using the Login and Password you created when you purchased RowPro or registered your license. |
RowPro 2.2 and later require you to enter your RowPro License Number to activate RowPro. If you don't enter a valid RowPro License Number, you will get an error message. If you have forgotten your RowPro License Number, log in to your account at www.digitalrowing.com using the Login and Password you created when you purchased RowPro or registered your license.
RowPro 2.1 and earlier require you to enter your Login and Password to activate RowPro. If you don't enter a valid Login and Password, you will get an error message. Your Login is the email address you gave when you created your account.
If you have forgotten your Password, go to the Login box at www.digitalrowing.com, click 'Forgotten your password?' and enter your email address. If you have also forgotten your Login, please contact assist@digitalrowing.com.
If you are unable to activate RowPro using a license number you received from Concept2 and/or you get an error message, possible causes are:
License
You must register a valid RowPro license before you can activate RowPro. If you don't have a valid registered RowPro license when you try to activate RowPro, you will get an error message. Possible causes are:
• | License not registered - If you received a RowPro license number from Concept2 or a Concept2 Distributor, you must register it at www.digitalrowing.com/register before you can use it to activate RowPro. |
• | License corrupt - If you get unexpected results when you activate RowPro, for example the activation seems inconsistent with what you expected, your license number may be invalid or your license may be corrupt. If you suspect this, please contact assist@digitalrowing.com who will help you reset your license. |
• | Annual license expired - Your account may have an annual license in it but the license has expired. Check when you originally registered your RowPro license number and confirm when your license is due to expire. |
