Troubleshooting starting RowPro

If RowPro won't even install or activate

RowPro 5 and later only install and run in 64-bit computers with 64-bit operating systems.

The strong preference is for the RowPro computer to be running the latest version of Windows or MacOS, and for operating system updates to be fully up-to-date.

There's a dedicated web page that sets out the steps for troubleshooting installation and activation at www.digitalrowing.com/support/install-activate.html.

If you're trying to install RowPro in an older computer, please see the Using older computers tab at www.digitalrowing.com/support/install-activate.html.

If RowPro will install but won't start

If RowPro won't start, the most likely cause is a problem with your computer's graphics.  The steps to follow are:

1.Check you have the latest version of RowPro, and if not, get it from www.digitalrowing.com/software.

2.Check if there is a more recent graphics driver available from your computer manufacturer, and if so, upgrade your graphics driver.

3.Power down and restart your RowPro computer.

4.Start RowPro, and when the small blue 'splash screen' appears before RowPro itself starts, briefly tap '2' on your keyboard to force RowPro to start in 2D.

a.If RowPro won't start in 2D, please contact assist@digitalrowing.com for assistance.

b.If RowPro starts in 2D, on the main menu click Tools | Preferences and do the following:

i.Set the Antialiasing slider to None.

ii.In a Windows computer, change the Display mode setting from 2D to 3D Direct3D9.

iii.In a Mac, change the Display mode setting from 2D to 3D OpenGL.

c.Restart RowPro and check if RowPro now starts and runs OK in 3D.

i.If not, in a Windows computer repeat point 4 above, then  go to Tools | Preferences and change the Display mode setting from 2D to 3D OpenGL, and check if RowPro now starts and runs OK.

ii.If RowPro now runs OK, you’re good.

iii.If not, please click Tools | System info on the RowPro main menu and send that to assist@digitalrowing.com for assistance.
