The RowPro online logbook has a number of export and import utilities:
There is an import utility at https://www.digitalrowing.com/rowing/myrowpro.html that enables you to import rows from your RowPro 4.3 database into your RowPro 5 or later online logbook.
There are a few points to note:
1.To use it you need to drag and drop your Rowing.mdb file onto the marked area. You can’t (yet) browse to the file or type in its name.
2.It only imports rows from your RowPro rowing log. It doesn’t (yet) import for example training plans.
3.It only imports into your RowPro online logbook, so if there are multiple users in the database you should only choose the user that matches the login you used to access the tool, otherwise your RowPro online logbook could end up containing the rows of one of the other users of RowPro.
4.The Rowing.mdb file is in the Program Files (x86)/Digital Rowing/RowPro folder. Note sometimes Windows 7 and later move this into a folder called the Virtual Store, so if you can’t find it, Google Windows Virtual Store and you should find it in the equivalent folder in there.
5.The rows are imported into the RowPro 5 online logbook only, not the RowPro 5 local logbook.
Note: This transition from 4.3 to 5 is a one-off. Previously version upgrades were handled seamlessly, and going forward that will be the case again, it’s just this once going from 4.3 to 5 there’s a manual effort required on your part to import your 4.3 data into 5.
There is an import utility in RowPro 5 that imports rows from a LogCard in a Concept2 PM3 or PM4 into your RowPro 5 or later online logbook.
The steps for using the import utility are:
1.Insert the Concept2 LogCard in the slot in the base of the PM3 or PM4.
2.Connect the Concept2 PM to the RowPro computer via a USB cable.
3.Start RowPro.
4.On the RowPro main menu, click Logbook | Import LogCard...
5.In the LogCard Import panel that appears, confirm the indicator at the bottom left is green, then click the Import button and wait for the import to complete.
Note: If the indicator at the bottom left is red, remove and reinsert the LogCard. If it's still red, disconnect the PM, close RowPro, reconnect the PM, and try again.
There is an import utility [ UNDER CONSTRUCTION ] at www.digitalrowing.com/rowing/myrowpro.html that enables you to import rows from a PM5 USB Flash Drive into your RowPro 5 or later online logbook.
You can manually enter rows in your RowPro online logbook by clicking the Add Manual Entry button at the top of the list of rows in the logbook and filling in the pop-up form.
There is an export utility in your RowPro 5 or later online logbook that enables you to export rows from your RowPro online logbook to your Concept2 Logbook.
The steps for using the export utility are in the Rowing with RowPro 5 guide at www.digitalrowing.com/documents.
There are a few points to note:
1.You can set export preferences in the Export preferences tab in your account at www.digitalrowing.com/myaccount.
2.In the preferences you can set it to export either automatically as soon as a new row arrives in your RowPro online logbook, or manually when you click the Send button at the right of a row in your RowPro online logbook.
3.Your Concept logbook password must not contain characters that are reserved when sent over the Internet. As a general rule the characters used in your Concept2 logbook password should only be A-Z, 0-9, -, _, * and ().
4.When a row has been exported to C2, the Send button at the right of that row in your RowPro online logbook changes to C2 to confirm it has been exported to C2.
5.If you need to re-export a row, you must first ensure there's not already the same row in your Concept2 online logbook, and if so delete that, and then right-click the C2 at the right of that row and re-export it to C2.
Note: If we make changes or bug fixes to the export utility, those changes will only apply to rows exported to C2 from that time on. If you want to re-export previously exported rows, follow the steps above.
There is an export utility in your RowPro 5 or later online logbook that enables you to export rows from your RowPro online logbook to an XML Rowfile.
These files provide a human-readable stroke-by-stroke record of the row and are suitable for either sharing among RowPro users or importing into other programs for on-analysis.
To use this export utility, double-click a row in your RowPro online logbook, and at the bottom under the splits / intervals table, click the XML button.
There is an export utility in your RowPro 5 or later online logbook that enables you to export rows from your RowPro online logbook to a CSV file (Comma Separated Values).
These files provide a stroke-by-stroke record of the row and are suitable for importing into other programs like Microsoft Excel for on-analysis.
To use this export utility, double-click a row in your RowPro online logbook, and at the bottom under the splits / intervals table, click the CSV button.
There is an export utility in your RowPro 5 or later online logbook that enables you to export rows from your RowPro online logbook to a TCX file suitable for importing into Training Peaks or other health and fitness apps like Strava that can use the TCX format.
To use this export utility, double-click a row in your RowPro online logbook, and at the bottom under the splits / intervals table, click the Training Peaks button.
If there's a particular export format or destination you particularly want, please contact assist@digitalrowing.com and suggest it.
